About Mountain Academy

Mountain Academy provides a calm but stimulating learning environment, with children able to access one to one teaching. Your child may need support in certain areas of learning, or extra challenge to excel.

Mountain Academy is a place for children to learn and prosper with the one to one teaching they need. Mountain Academy offers teaching for maths and numeracy, language, literacy and communication, business studies, essay reviews, revision techniques and more.

Mountain Academy is located in the heart of the countryside, yet just minutes from Cardiff and Caerphilly. A truly unique learning space, set in six acres, with views of woodland and forestry.

Mountain Academy is for pupils aged 7 and over, from primary school to sixth form.

About the teacher:

Hello! my name is Lois, a primary school teacher that has taught across Cardiff and Caerphilly. I am a qualified teacher with a track record of 'excellent' graded teaching, including a letter of commendation for teaching practice and theory. I have a Business Management with Marketing degree (BSc) from Cardiff University.

I adore teaching and love seeing those 'lightbulb' moments. I pride myself on creating an environment that is centred around boosting confidence and wellbeing, which in turn develops academic success.
