What support does Mountain Academy provide?
One to one support by a qualified teacher (Lois) for children of all ages and abilities.
What is a one to one session?
A one to one session allows me to become your child's personal teacher. These sessions run for one hour and are perfect for targeting specific needs.
Are you a qualified teacher?
Yes, I am a qualified primary school teacher. I have taught across the age ranges from nursery to year 6 and have a passion for learning. I have taught in schools across Cardiff and Caerphilly. I have an enhanced DBS check that is on the Update Service.
What is included in my booking?
When you book in with me you will recieve:

How do I book?

Can I drop off and pick up?
Yes! If you would like to drop off your child and pick up at the end of the session that is fine, or you are welcome to remain on site in your car in our car park.
Can I stay on site?
Of course! If you would like to remain on site at Mountain Academy during the session, you can wait in your car in our car park whilst we are busy learning! You are also welcome to drop off and pick up, if you wish.
Can I come and have a look around?
Absolutely! I would love to show you the wonderful learning cabin and surroundings. To arrange a visit, please email mountainacademywales@gmail.com or call/text Lois on 07795298950.
Do you support Secondary school children?
Yes. If your child has a specific area they need support with, I can provide help with foundation mathematics, English Literature, essay writing, revision and more.
Do you have a toilet?
Our learning cabin does not currently have it's own toilet, though our family home is on site if it is needed.
Does my child need to bring anything?
You are welcome to bring your own pencil case if you wish, though all resources, pens, paper, etc is available here.
Do you support Home Educated pupils?
Of course! I teach many home educated children throughout the week. If you would like regular, weekly sessions for a particular topic or skill that can be arranged, or even a monthly 'booster' session - whatever is best for you!
